Christopher Bender is a Director of Regulatory Advisory where he serves Chatham’s private equity, infrastructure, and real estate clients. Chris brings significant experience advising on global derivatives regulatory regimes — including Dodd-Frank, EMIR, and MiFID II — and compliance with derivatives regulation.
Chris leads our participation in ISDA working groups responsible for providing feedback to regulators and developing industry standards to new regulation. Prior to Chatham, Chris was an attorney at Duane Morris LLP where he practiced real estate and public finance law.
Chris earned a B.S. from Cornell University, a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University Public Policy Institute, and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
