About Brent
Brent Whiteman is a member of Chatham’s Global Real Estate team where he manages client relationships and comprehensive engagements for institutional real estate investors. He provides his clients with strategy development, analysis, and trade execution for both interest rate and foreign currency hedging. During his time at Chatham, Brent has guided his clients to implement and execute hedging strategies on over 1,400 deals, spanning all real estate verticals across major and emerging market currencies. He previously served on Chatham’s independent debt valuation team and prior to that was a defeasance consultant at the firm.
Prior to joining Chatham, Brent was a captain in the United States Air Force where he worked as a contracting officer for the Department of Defense’s space launch program. Brent received his BS in management from the United States Air Force Academy and holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
