About Hugh

Hugh Sutcliffe is responsible for Chatham’s business activities in Canada and is based in Toronto. Hugh has over 30 years of capital markets experience, primarily in derivatives. Prior to founding his own derivatives advisory practice in 2012, he worked at RBC Capital Markets, General Re Financial Products, and CIBC World Markets. He has designed and executed hedging solutions referencing numerous assets classes, including interest rates, FX, equities, and power. Hugh’s client base includes Canadian pension funds and their portfolio companies, infrastructure and renewable power sponsors, P3 procurement agencies, government entities, and corporations. Hugh graduated from Carleton University with honors and his bachelor’s in economics, and he is a CFA charterholder.
