About Duncan
Duncan Grainger advises a broad range of domestic and global clients including private equity firms, infrastructure funds, superannuation/pension funds, and ASX200 corporates on methods of mitigating financial risk. Through the execution of derivative and hedging strategies, he supports clients in reducing their interest rate, foreign currency, and commodity risk exposures associated with acquisitions and financings, debt restructurings, as well as ongoing operations.
Duncan assists with all stages of hedging, from early stage risk analysis and valuations, through policies, ISDA and other legal documentation, leading onto negotiation with counterparties, execution, and then ongoing post-trade support.
Duncan graduated from The University of Melbourne where he completed his Bachelor of Commerce with Majors in Finance and Economics. He further undertook his Honors year in Finance, where he completed a thesis analyzing the effects of environmental performance on stock returns in U.S. capital markets. Duncan is currently studying to complete his CFA.
