About Andrew

Andrew Thornfeldt is a Managing Director who leads the Real Estate Investment Banking advisory practice and is also responsible for the Defeasance practice. Andrew has over 15 years of experience advising institutional commercial real estate clients on portfolio leverage strategy, M&A, risk, liquidity, and capital management. Andrew has deep expertise in transactions across the capital stack with a focus on structured debt. He has led a broad range of engagements in the U.S. and Europe focused on capital raising, debt restructuring, bankruptcy advisory, structured debt and equity acquisitions, and risk management strategy. He earned his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and holds a bachelor’s from Wheaton College.
