Overview:

We don’t simply hire employees. We invest in them. When you work at Chatham, we empower you — offering professional development opportunities to help you grow in your career, no matter if you've been here for five months or 15 years. Chatham has worked hard to create a distinct work environment that values people, teamwork, integrity, and client service. Chatham’s Internal Finance team provides detailed reporting to the firm’s various sectors and practice areas to enable informed business decisions. The team strives for excellence in all we do, while fostering an environment where individuals are respected and encouraged to share ideas.

We are seeking an organized, inquisitive, and detail-oriented Accounting Contractor to join our team for a 3-month engagement supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role will work closely with members of the Internal Finance team to assist with billing, receivables, and general accounting activities that help maintain accurate financial records and reporting.

In this role, you will:

  • Engage in structured onboarding and training to build knowledge of Chatham’s systems, processes, and the broader financial services industry.

Your Impact

  • Contribute meaningfully to daily accounting operations and reporting.
  • Support accurate financial data that enables informed decision-making across the firm.
  • Add value through attention to detail, process improvement ideas, and collaborative teamwork.

Contributors to Your Success

  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, business, or a related field (internships or entry-level experience welcome).
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or currently pursuing a degree.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting systems is a plus.
  • Desire to learn and contribute in a fast-paced professional environment.
