The technology team at Chatham is responsible for building scalable, innovative fintech solutions that power global investment decisions. As a Senior Data Integration Engineer, reporting to the team’s leader, you will work on the Asset Platform product of Chatham. As part of this endeavor, you’ll be joining our Data Integration team and work on complex transformation and data wrangling capability to ensure the Asset Platform is successfully enabled for strategic Commercial Real Estate clients. You will oversee designing and implementing scalable data integration solutions that process complex and varied datasets to support enterprise trusted analytics. 

 

In this role you will: 

  • Review complex data integration scenarios and tech leaders and other architects in designing solutions and overseeing task decomposition and code review 

  • Contribute to Data Integration logic alongside other Data Integration Engineers using a mix of SQL (dbt) and Python 

  • Debug and resolve issues appearing during the execution of Data Ingestion workflows related to parsing raw data or Data Integration logic 

  • Optimize existing Data Integration logic, identify and centralize tech debt together with tech leaders 

  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and actively review development done to ensure it aligns to best practices, is well documented, tested and optimal 

 

Your impact: 

As a Senior Data Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering reliable and scalable data integration solutions that underpin Chatham’s Asset Platform. You will enable clients to take control of their data ecosystem by centralizing sparse and varied datasets within a single Enterprise Data Platform, unlocking true enterprise-grade trusted analytics. Your work will streamline critical client decision-making, allowing client teams to navigate capital markets with more confidence. 

 

Contributors to your success:  

  • Strong proficiency in SQL querying and transformations 

  • Strong experience using Python for backend development and/or data transformation. 

  • Represents a big plus 

  • Experience with Snowflake 

  • Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) or similar (SQLMesh, Dataform) 

  • Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub and GitHub Actions 

  • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, data transformation design patterns, and modern data platforms including cloud data warehouses, object storage, and distributed processing frameworks. 

  • Working knowledge of microservices architectures, including experience with Docker and containerized deployments 

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with product, design, operations, and other technology teams to deliver data integration solutions aligned with business needs 

  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing 

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies as part of a growing data platform   

  • B.S. or M.S. in Statistics / Mathematics / Economics / Computer Science / Management Information Systems
