The technology team at Chatham is responsible for building scalable, innovative fintech solutions that power global investment decisions. As an Analyst within the Data Quality team, you will report to the Senior Specialist and work on the Asset Platform product of Chatham. As part of this endeavor, you’ll be joining our Data Quality team and work on automation for the underlying Data Platform to actively profile & assess data in transit and at rest from a Data Quality perspective (technical & business related). The Analyst will be in charge of conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities based on results yielded by Data Quality team members or automated capability. The role will lead the process of coalescing and centralizing results, assumptions, issues and recommended fixes to a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external. 

In this role you will: 

  • Create & maintain SQL scripts to query the Data Platform of the Asset Platform for manual/automated Data Quality assessments 

  • Create & maintain capability for performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities faster and more efficient 

  • Create & maintain capability for reporting Data Quality results to a variety of stakeholders 

  • Work alongside technical or business stakeholders to identify issues in Data Processing Pipelines leading to Data Quality issues 

  • Actively monitor Data Quality across client production environments and support the execution of Root 

  • Cause Analysis procedures related to potential Data Quality failures detected through scheduled or ad-hoc assessments 

  • Write test plans and test cases related to features the Asset Platform has broadly speaking 

  • Contribute to creating and maintaining sample input datasets and related Product expected outputs that can be used for testing features internally 

Your impact: 

As an Analyst within the Data Quality team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data within Data Platforms or data-oriented software solutions at scale. Leveraging your expertise in SQL, alongside collaboration with internal teams to test new products, you will help maintain the highest standards of data quality, enabling informed decision-making based on trusted analytics and supporting the platform’s overall success. 

Contributors to your success: 

  • Strong analytical skills in collecting, organizing and analyzing significant amounts of information 

  • Proven understanding of SQL database querying 

  • Practical understanding of analyzing data visually to identify patterns and anomalies 

  • Proficient in report writing and presenting findings 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Strong problem-solving skills 

  • Proficiency in MS Excel 

  • Ability to plan work and work around deadlines 

  • Basic business process analysis or business analysis knowledge (practical commercial real estate expertise represents a great plus) 

  • Represents a big plus experience with any of the following: Snowflake, dbt (Data Build Tool), Python, DAX 

  • B.S. or M.S. in Finance / Economics / Mathematics / Computer Science / Management Information Systems
