Matthew Tevis: 30 years of supporting our clients' growth and risk management needs
Summary
Matthew Tevis reflects on how Chatham has grown with our financial institution clients to enable them to make smart decisions in the capital markets. Chatham Financial is celebrating 30 years of serving our clients.
The growth of our financial institution clients
Financial institutions have experienced tremendous growth in the past 30 years, while learning how to navigate in an increasingly complex and competitive market. Their needs have changed, our capabilities have expanded, and our business has grown with our clients. When Chatham started serving financial institutions clients, we helped a local bank with a borrower swap. Today, we help over 200 financial institutions with borrower swaps, balance sheet hedging, commodity hedging, FX reporting, hedge accounting, valuations, and regulatory compliance.
People, process, and technology
We leverage our people, our process, and our technology and continue to invest heavily in each of those areas to not only differentiate our product capability but also to be there for our clients.

Technology has and continues to play an important role at Chatham. We use our technology to price, value, and service some of the largest and most complex derivatives portfolios in the market. It also allows us to lower our cost so we can provide solutions to smaller organizations.
What's next for Chatham
Working alongside our clients, we will continue to invest and scale our hedging advisory business as well as expand into new products and services. As we look further into the future, we want to be the leader in knowledge, data, and tools to provide our clients the ability to make smart capital markets decisions.
