An affiliate of Chatham Financial, Union Square Capital Partners (USQ) is focused on providing investment solutions to the RIA channel.  Our platform is the result of unique expertise and experience across fixed income and real estate.

USQ is seeking an internal sales/client service professional to help in its mutual fund distribution efforts.  Union Square currently offers two closed-end interval funds with plans to expand the product line.  The new team member will support the external sales team with prospecting efforts, but also serve as a key point of contact for existing clients.  This individual contributor role has the potential to lead to many different opportunities within the organization, including external sales, portfolio management, or relationship management. 

In this role you will:

  • Understand fund product offerings
  • Work closely with external sales directors to develop sales and servicing strategy to manage assigned sales territories effectively – this role is focused on the RIA channel
  • Make proactive sales calls to prospective clients; receive inbound calls from existing and prospective clients
  • Partner with external sales directors to ensure we maintain a high level of quality activity and take advantage of strategic opportunities
  • Support the external sales directors to make sure we meet the expectations and execute the requests for our clients
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and advance the sales process with existing opportunities
  • Work closely with marketing to develop content ideas that would resonate within the RIA channel
  • Work closely with the marketing team on outbound email/video/social media campaigns 
  • Periodic travel may be required
  • The role is initially focused on internal sales/relationship management but has the potential to lead to an external sales position.

Contributors to your success:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least three years of financial industry experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated track record supporting sales efforts in the RIA channel
  • Client focus and detail oriented with a strong ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter, strong analytical skills, and have an interest in mastering all aspects of the investment management business (focus on RIA’s and banks) and capital markets
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating as part of a team to support external salespeople
  • Registered with Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 licenses
